Pre-operation Preparation

There is a certain amount of preparation that should be done before any hair transplant surgery. Here is a list of some of them.

Consult Your Doctor

First of all, your doctor should evaluate you, your scalp and your lifestyle. This will allow your doctor to find out what your current balding process
is at, where it is going and if it is going to continue or stop. Your doctor will talk about your lifestyle, this alone can cause them to tell you what
might be causing your hair loss and how you can change your habits and re-grow your hair on your own without surgery. Sometimes it takes changing your
hairstyle, what you eat or even changing the shampoo that you are washing your hair with.

Risks and Complications

Before any surgery you have the right to learn all the risks and complications that can come from it. Your doctor should tell you everything that you
should expect but it never hurts to do a little bit of research on your own. Check the internet, talk to friends or family members and find out what
you can expect after surgery.

Guidelines

There are guidelines to all surgeries and your doctor should give you a list of things that you cannot eat, drink or medications that you cannot take
before the surgery. For all surgeries you cannot smoke or drink at least 24 hours before you have it. Smoking and drinking can cause problems with
healing.

It is very important to follow your pre-surgery preparation so that your surgery itself goes over with a hitch. Hair transplant is not a major surgery and can be done quite quickly with minimum pain and some
discomfort. Hair transplant surgery works better when everything has been done to prepare for it has
been completed.
