Why I've moved to Leeds as a Manchester based art student
The University of Leeds is hosting a artistic intercultural dialogue on European Identity at the Stanley & Audrey Gallery from June 2010 to August
2010. As an art student living in Manchester, I recently got to know about this, visited Leeds and love the City!
Not only will I be attending the exhibition to learn about this international project by twenty female artists from ten different European countries,
but I'm moving to Leeds! I've started contacting different cosmeticdentistryguide.co.uk/teethwhitening.html who have student accommodation Leeds quite specific to the needs of art students like myself.
My goal as an art student is to collaborate with researchers at University of Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool, and also build rapport with European
artists on projects that focus on transport and driving. The University of Leeds has a specialist Driving Simulator and Instrumented City at their
Institute of Transport Studies. They have projects such as Dapple that looks at the effect of polution on the urban environment. As an artist,
understanding what drives these projects, what's involved, and the outcomes stimulates ideas for my artistic productions to promote positive
environmental outcomes.
Living in different places, even away from where I actually study, helps to broaden my imagination, outlooks on life, and also perceptions about my
environment and others that I meet.
